Lemke Fence was started in 1956 by Martin Lemke Jr. in his garage in Fort Atkinson, WI. Eventually, we moved to downtown Fort Atkinson before moving to Jefferson in 1984. We are currently still in the same location on Hwy 26.

We are owned and operated by David Schmitz, who is the nephew of our founder, Martin. He started working at Lemke in 1986, and he purchased the company in 1999.

For over six decades, we have been serving Southern Wisconsin, including Jefferson, Dane, Rock, Dodge, Walworth, and Waukesha counties, just to name a few. Located in Jefferson, we frequently work in Fort Atkinson, Whitewater, Janesville, and Watertown areas, but we often go to Madison, Beloit, and Waukesha. We will go basically anywhere we are called and don't limit our service area.
